You pick up your BFFs cell she just dropped when you're on a walk together. She sees this, and says, "Why did you steal my phone?" You say,

• Look, girl, I did NOT steal this! It dropped on the ground, I picked it up to give it to you!
• I don't know. It dropped.
• Hey! This DROPPED I did not steal it! (he/she interrupts) Listen to ME! It fell and I was gonna give it to you. Ok?
